After completing the interview stage, you'll need to wait for the business school to make their decision. If you receive an offer, accept it within the specified deadline to secure your place on the programme.

Prepare for interviews

If your application is shortlisted, you may be invited to an interview with the admissions committee. This is an opportunity to showcase your passion for the Programme, discuss your experiences, and demonstrate your suitability for the MBA. Prepare by practising common interview questions and researching the programme thoroughly.

Apply directly to the business school

Unlike undergraduate admissions, MBA applications are typically submitted directly to the business school through their online application system. Pay close attention to deadlines and ensure you submit a complete and accurate application.

Prepare a compelling application

An MBA application usually consists of the following components:

  • Personal details: Your full name, contact information, and nationality
  • Professional resume: A detailed resume highlighting your work experience, education, and achievements
  • Personal statement or essays: Written responses to specific prompts, showcasing your motivation for pursuing an MBA, career goals, and how the programmes will help you achieve them
  • References: Letters of recommendation from current or former supervisors, colleagues, or professors who can speak to your professional and personal qualities
  • Test scores: Official scores from the GMAT/GRE and English language proficiency tests, if required

Check entry requirements

Each MBA programme will have specific entry requirements, which may include:

  • An undergraduate degree or equivalent qualification
  • Work experience, typically a minimum of 2-5 years in a managerial or professional role
  • English language proficiency (e.g. IELTS, TOEFL, or PTE scores)
  • GMAT or GRE scores, though some programmes may waive this requirement

Begin by researching the different MBA programmes available in the UK, considering factors such as curriculum, teaching style, specialisation options, location, and the reputation of the business school. Align your choice with your career goals and personal preferences.

Once you've received your visa, it's time to arrange accommodation and prepare for your move to the UK. Research housing options, book your travel, and familiarise yourself with the local customs, culture, lifestyle and living costs.

As an international student, you'll need to apply for a UK student visa (Student Visa, previously Tier 4 (General)). This process involves providing proof of your acceptance at a UK university, evidence of your financial support, and other relevant documentation.

Once you've submitted your application, you'll need to wait for the universities to review it and make their decisions. If you're successful, you'll receive a conditional or unconditional offer. You'll need to accept an offer within the specified deadline to secure your place.

Review your application thoroughly and then submit it. Before it can be sent off to any universities/colleges, you’ll need to get a reference and pay your application fee. You will need to find a suitable referee, whether a teacher or an employer. We will advise you on this. The application fee is unfortunately not refundable.

Register in the UCAS Hub and complete the registration questions, confirming key details such as the year you want to start your studies (and that you are interested in ‘Undergraduate’ level of study).

In the UCAS Hub dashboard, you’ll see a title called ‘Your application’ which is where you can begin your application. There is substantial information required here so be sure to give yourself plenty of time to take breaks and come back to it, to get everything right.
